Maxxium has teamed up with fruit purée provider Funkin in the UK to push Sauza Tequila, owned by Maxxium co-owner Beam Global Spirits & Wine.

The company, which handles sales and distribution for Beam Global and The Edrington Group in a raft of international markets, said today (30 July) that the partnership will look to up sales of Sauza in the UK on-trade.

Selected customers will be offered Sauza cocktail kits including Funkin products and a range of support material including tent cards, coasters and posters. The kits focus on two serves - Sauza Passion Fruit Margaritas and the Raspberry Sauza Top.

"Sauza is the fastest growing Tequila brand in the world and we will focus on further growth through mixability," said Nikki Cumming, Maxxium UK's brand manager for Sauza. "This partnership with Funkin will encourage consumers who don't normally drink Tequila to consider it as a refreshing alternative to other white spirits."

Earlier this year, just-drinks spoke to the co-chairmen of the recently revamped Maxxium, Bill Farrar and Donard Gaynor.
