Maxxium has lined up the launch of two Brugal rum variants exclusively for the travel retail channel in Spain.
The marketing and distribution company, which is jointly-owned by Beam Global Spirits and Wines and The Edrington Group, said today (1 July) that Brugal Añejo Reserva and Brugal Extra Viejo Reserva will be available in seven airports in Spain from this month.
The variants will be on sale at the airports in Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Palma, Gran Canarias, Girona, and Alicante from today. Brugal Añejo Reserva will retail at EUR21.99 (US$31.15) per bottle, with Brugal Extra Viejo Reserva costing EUR29.99.
"We are proud to be able to launch the new expressions in Spain this summer and plan to roll out to other European markets in the coming months," said Glen Williams, managing director Maxxium Travel Retail.
Brugal was added to the Maxxium portfolio last year, when Edrington acquired a majority stake in the company.
