Polish food and beverage group Maspex is to buy two drinks brands from Agros Nova Group for an undisclosed sum.

Maspex will take control of non-carbonated beverage brand Tarczyn and functional product brand Dr Witt, Agros Nova owner IK Investment Partners said. Agros Nova's parent will retain the Fortuna, Garden and Pysio non-carbonated brands as well as a production plant in Tymienice.

Agros Nova ranks third in the Polish non-carbonated beverages market including juices, nectars and fruit drinks. It also operates fruit and vegetable preserves and ready-made food brands and production facilities, which it is selling to Maspex.

“Maspex will guarantee long-term investments into brands, production sites as well as employees,” said Marek Sypek, CEO of Agros Nova. “I am particularly proud that the transaction will allow our employees to develop within the biggest food group in Central and Eastern Europe.”

Agros Nova acquired Dr Witt in 2004.
