Marston's, the UK beer and pub group, has said that finance director Paul Inglett is to leave the firm.

Inglett informed the board of his intention to leave "in order to pursue other opportunities", Marston's said today (3 February).

A hunt for Inglett's successor has begun, the brewer said.

Inglett, who has been with Marston's for 17 years and finance director since 2001, is expected to remain with the group until its interim results announcement in May.

Marston's said in January that like-for-like profit at its pub division fell by 6% for the 15 weeks ended 17 January. Own-brewed beer volumes rose for the period, Marston's said, although no figure was given.
