Two key winery personnel have been appointed at Markham Vineyards in California this week.

Associate winemaker Michael Jordan and general affairs manager Karen Takabayashi will both replace Kimberlee Jackson Nicholls, who was recently promoted to winemaker for Markham Vineyards.

Takabayashi's primary responsibilities include overseeing capital projects. Prior to joining Markham Vineyards, Takabayashi was the special events manager at Schramsberg Vineyards, Napa Valley.

Jordan, moves to Markham from Robert Hunter, Sonoma Valley, where he was winemaker and director of operations at Kunde Estate Winery.

Commenting, Bryan Del Bondio, president of Markham said he considers Takabayashi an excellent ambassador for the winery adding: "We are very excited by the opportunity to build a strong, new winemaking team. Michael has the enthusiasm and experience that we need to continue into the next generation of wines here at Markham Vineyards."
