LVMH Moët Hennessy has reportedly signed a wine joint-venture deal in China.

The French group is to form a joint-venture with China-based agriculture group Ningxia Nongken, in order to produce grapes for "high-end sparkling wine", according to reports.

Moët Hennessy also plans to build a winery near to the vineyards owned by the joint-venture.

LVMH could not be reached by just-drinks for comment today (13 May).
