Bordeaux-based wine group, Jacques et Francois Lurton, has announced it is to invest €1.0m ($920,000) in the renovation and expansion of its cellars in Bordeaux.

The 6,000 sq m cellar has a total capacity of 18,000 hls with an output of 6,000 bottles per hour. Lurton exports wines from France, Spain, Australia, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay to Europe, Japan and North America. The company's sales reached €14.5m in 2001, up from €13.5m in 2000.
