Lion Nathan has secured a new malt contract in Australia. ABB Grain Ltd. said today (23 March) that its malt business has signed a new deal to supply the brewer with malt. Although the precise worth of the deal was not disclosed, ABB said that it was worth "significantly" more than A$100m (US$78m).

In a statement, ABB said that the long-term agreement will involve Joe White Maltings Ltd. supplying breweries in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

The new contract, which continues a long-term supply relationship, is effective from next month. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
