The Greek wine group, Ktima Lazaridis, posted pre-tax profit for the first quarter of 2002 of €1.4m ($1.3m), up 17% from the €1.2m ($1.1m) registered in the first quarter of 2001. Turnover at Lazaridis rose by 22% from €3.6m ($3.3m) to €4.4m ($4.0m) in the first quarter of 2002.
