Laurent Perrier has seen its nine-month sales soar by almost a third. The French Champagne maker yesterday reported a turnover of €180m (US$230.7m) for the first nine months of fiscal 2004/2005, ending 31 March. This represented an increase of 30.6% year-on-year.

On a constant perimeter and exchange rates, the sales for the period show a 14.1% increase, compared to a 16.2% year-on-year rise of 2004/05 first half turnover, the company said.

Laurent Perrier confirmed its forecast for sales to hit €210m for the full fiscal year.

The group will release its full-year sales figure on 3 May, and other annual financial results on 31 May.
