Kopparberg has added a rhubarb variant to its namesake fruit cider range. Kopparberg Rhubarb joins other variants in the brand's 50cl bottle core range and will be available exclusively at UK supermarket Sainbury's for the next 12 months.

Rob Salvesen, senior marketing manager at Kopparberg, said: "We know the importance of offering cider drinkers a diverse variety of flavours, and we're confident Rhubarb will provide a great accompaniment for those crisp Autumn evenings spent socialising."

Earlier this year, Kopparberg declined to be drawn on reports that it is to move the production of the Swedish cider brand to the UK, following the latter's pending departure from the European Union. The brand is produced in Sweden, but the bulk of sales are in the UK.
