A spokesperson for the company has confirmed to just-drinks that around 500 employees have been affected. Keurig Dr Pepper officially came into being after the deal closed in July this year.

"I can confirm that last week, as a key step of our integration process, we implemented a new organisational structure that is optimised for speed, growth and efficiency," the spokesperson said. "It also includes the rationalisation of duplicative roles as we bring our two companies together.

"This change resulted in a headcount reduction that impacted approximately 500 employees primarily in salaried positions across multiple functions and geographies."

Keurig Dr Pepper has around 25,000 employees in 120 offices, manufacturing plants, warehouses and distribution centres across North America.
