Johnnie Walker is sponsoring a golf tournament in Scotland for the second consecutive year.

The Johnnie Walker Golf Championship tees off at Gleneagles this week, starting on Thursday and running through until Sunday. Colin Montgomerie and Paul Casey are among the UK professionals vying for prize money totalling GBP1.4m (US$2.6m).

During the tournament, Johnnie Walker Black Label will be promoted to viewers and attendees of the event, Diageo Great Britain said late last week.

The company is further leveraging the sponsorship with TV coverage of the Johnnie Walker Golf Championship on the Golf Channel on Sky and press advertising in Scotland.
