JeanJean has seen its net attributable profits plummet 79.7% to €520,000 for 2004, after it was hit by troubles in the US market and a decline in table wine volumes. The company also said it had difficulties with its viticulture services operations.

Operating profit fell 42.2% to €3.7m (US$4.8m), though turnover dropped only 1.7% to €156.4m.

The viticulture business reported a net loss of €1.52m, although this was narrowed in the second half-year, thanks to a recovery plan.

The company said its plans for 2005 included continuing the recovery started in its service activity and in the US unit.
