Jackson Family Wines will use six companies to handle Cardinale and Verite in all markets outside North America

Jackson Family Wines has consolidated the non-US and Canada distribution footprint for its Cardinale and Vérité Californian wine brands.

The privately-owned company, also headquartered in California, said earlier today that the pair will be handled globally by France's Mahler-Besse and five negociants from Bordeaux. JFW's previous arrangements for Cardinale and Vérité comprised Mahler-Besse and in-market local importers.

"Starting with the 2013 vintage, Vérité and Cardinale will now be represented by the following négociants: Ballande & Meneret, CVBG, Duclot, Joanne and Mestrezat Grands Crus" said JFW's executive VP of international sales & distribution, Nick Bevan. "Additionally, our long-term partner, Mahler-Besse, will continue to distribute Vérité."

Napa Valley-based Cardinale produces a single Cabernet Sauvignon from each vintage, which is a blend from Napa's Diamond Mountain, Howell Mountain, Mount Veeder, and Spring Mountain appellations. Vérité, which is located in Sonoma County, releases three Bordeaux-inspired blends: Merlot-based La Muse, Cabernet Sauvignon-based La Joie and Le Désir, which is Cabernet Franc-based.

The 2013 vintage from both wineries is rolling out to markets this week.

Last month, JFW secured the purchase of Willakenzie Estate in Oregon.
