Inver House Distillers has added a limited edition vintage to its Balblair Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky portfolio.

The company said today (26 March) that 3,000 bottles of Balblair 1975 will be produced, making it "the most limited" of the company's vintages to date. The global offering joins existing malts Balblair 1989 and Balblair 1997, and "follows the global success of its vintage predecessor, Balblair 1979".

Balblair brand manager Margaret Mary Clarke said: "Without a doubt, Balblair 1975 is one of the finest vintages we have discovered to date. We have spent a great deal of time and care in selecting it and I'm confident that whisky lovers throughout the world will not be disappointed."

Balblair 1975 will retail at GBP149.49 (US$298.74).
