The company, home to single malt brands including Old Pulteney, Balblair and anCnoc, said earlier today that sales in the 12 months to the end of September 2018 were up almost 7.5% on the corresponding period a year earlier. Inver House saw its fiscal-2017 sales stagnate.

While the unit's Old Pulteney and Caorunn Gin brands were highlighted as performing well, no details were disclosed on the performance of its other single and blended malts.

MD Martin Leonard

"With trading conditions challenging in many emerging markets, it was encouraging to see sales of our single malts grow significantly in the period. We also now have the channels in place to grow our brands in markets around the world, so our focus is very much on rolling out some exciting plans and building further success in 2019 and beyond."

Inver House is part of International Beverage Holdings, which itself is a subsidiary of ThaiBev. Earlier this year, an investment analyst suggested Anheuser-Busch InBev could look to team up with ThaiBev in Vietnam, where the Thailand-headquartered group holds majority control of Saigon Beer Alcohol & Beverage Corp.
