The international brewing group, Interbrew, has announced that it has received shareholders' acceptances for 82.9% of Brauergilde Hannover AG, the company which owns the Gilde Brauerei, the fifth largest brewer in Germany.

Interbrew said it anticipates the City of Hannover, which owns a 10.1% interest in Brauergilde, will tender its stake following an agreement reached with the Belgian brewing concern last week.

In order to give remaining shareholders the opportunity to tender their shares, Interbrew said it would extend its offer until December 13. Interbrew, the third largest brewing group in the world, launched a €523m takeover bid for Brauergilde Hannover AG three weeks ago.
