InBev has announced the sale of its 62.4% interest in the soft drinks botter, Bremer Erfrischungsgetränke GmbH, to Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke AG for a fee based on an enterprise value of €137m.

The sale will result in a one-time gain of €17m for the brewer and is expected to close in September.

The move represents part of the international brewing group's strategy to dispose of non-core assets.

It had acquired its participation in the bottler through its acquisition of Beck & Co. in 2002.

Sectors: Beer & cider
