Here's a look at the biggest stories and the best content from just-drinks this week.

Here's a timeline of the effect the coronavirus COVID-19 crisis is having on the global drinks industry:

In April, Constellation Brands reported its results for the 12 months to the end of February. Sales in fiscal-2020 were up 3% on the corresponding period a year earlier, a less impressive performance than the +7% posted in fiscal-2019. Here, just-drinks considers Constellation's performance over the last five years.

The wine producers in France are in a bit of a hole - but then, so is every other wine company around the world. Unlike their foreign peers, however, the French can't lay the blame squarely at a pandemic's door. Indeed, as Chris Losh discovers, the guilty party is much closer to home.

Consumers' growing concerns about their health are not only well documented, but they're also a natural reaction to a global health crisis. But, several soft drinks and supplements companies are getting their messages wrong. Lucy Britner investigates.

Concha y Toro has outlined strategies that wine companies can adopt to connect with consumers once the coronavirus pandemic has subsided, including targetting new occasions such as the virtual catch-up.

Forgive my patronising tone, but I'm worried about you. I'm talking to C&C Group, who despite posting a lift in full-year sales earlier this week, looks precariously-placed to weather the current - and future - choppy waters. As companies everywhere work to line up their ducks in a row to survive the coronavirus pandemic and its wider impact, I'm worried that some of C&C ducks may be in quite a bad way.

In just-drinks' company results coverage:

C&C Group is bracing itself for a torrid start to its current fiscal year, as sales in the on-premise channel since March have dropped to zero.

Concha y Toro has posted a stellar start to 2020, with group sales jumping double digits in the first quarter.

On our news pages:

Asahi Group has completed the acquisition of Anheuser-Busch InBev's Australian assets, two months after finally receiving the regulatory green light.

Brown-Forman has launched a range of RTD cocktails under the Jack Daniel's brand, including a hard seltzer.

Coca-Cola bottlers in the US will offer plastic bottle preforms to help make up for a global shortfall in test tubes for use in COVID-19 testing kits.

PepsiCo has appointed the former CEO of Walmart China as its next Asia-Pacific head.

Remy Cointreau has raised its forecast for first-quarter sales, thanks to "more favourable" trends towards spirits in the US.
