Spain's flagship airline Iberia and wine-specialist consultancy Todo Vino have teamed up to promote the country's premium wines on long-haul flights.

Under the agreement, Iberia will serve a selection of Todo Vino's wine portfolio to Business Plus passengers on long-haul journeys.

The selection boasts the Finca Valpiedra Reserva 2000 and Abadia Returera Cuvee Palomar 2001, two "unique" reds from the Rioja and Castille-La Manche regions respectively, Iberia said.

"TodoVino's knowledge and experience, and Iberia's size and international scope are certain to prove a powerful combination in promoting Spain's excellent wines around the world," Iberia said.

The airline will publicise Spain's wines in its in-flight magazine Ronda Iberia.

On top of this, Iberia will serve Todo Vino wines in its VIP lounges in Madrid's fledgling T4 airport terminal, the airline's main operating hub. Todo Vino's magazine will be available at the VIP rooms, the airline added.
