Ian Macleod Distillers has lined up a range of RTDs under its Edinburgh Gin brand as it looks to take advantage of the trend for pre-mixed drinks in the UK market.

The company said yesterday that the range, packaged in 25cl slimline cans, comprises Edinburgh Gin and Tonic and Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur mixed with ginger ale. The new products are 6% abv and 5% abv respectively.

"Given the size and growth of the RTD market, we were keen to offer our consumers a premium ready-to-serve range that they can enjoy whether at home or any outdoor occasion," said Edinburgh Gin's UK MD, Neil Boyd. "With the popularity of our Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur it seemed the ideal flavour to choose for our first gin liqueur RTD alongside our classic G&T. Its flavour profile means it will appeal to both fans of Edinburgh Gin and those new to the brand and the range."

The range will roll out initially to Tesco. The Rhubarb & Ginger will be available UK-wide while the G&T is available in Scotland.
