The Coca-Cola Co has upped its full-year sales target after its carbonated soft drinks portfolio drove a healthy sales increase for the first half of the year.

The company today raised organic sales guidance for 2019 by one percentage point to 5% as no-sugar sodas including Coca-Cola Zero Sugar delivered strong second-quarter performances. Recent launches including Coca-Cola Plus Coffee and Coca-Cola Energy also boosted the top line.
Overall organic sales in the six months to the end of June climbed by 6% helped by a 4% increase for CSDs in the second quarter. Coca-Cola said that in Q2, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar delivered a seventh consecutive quarter of double-digit volume growth globally.

The group's reported sales were up 5% in the six months to US$18.7bn. Second-quarter sales came in just shy of $10bn, a 6% year-on-year increase.
Coca-Cola grew organic sales in all of its reporting regions. Volumes were up or flat in all markets except for North America, where they dipped by 1%. Currency fluctuations meant reported sales in Latin America were flat, despite a 7% organic lift.
In Europe, Coca-Cola praised gains for Innocent Drinks, which is set for a launch in Asia this year.
