The House of Angostura has released a 15-year-old rum, called Angostura 1787. The rum is a blend of 15-year-old rums from Angostura's warehouses in Trinidad. It is presented in a heavyweight bottle with the signature of Dr JGB Seigert, the brand's founder, on the label. Angostura described the new offer as "super premium".

1787 is the latest addition to the Angostura range, which also comprises Angostura 7 Year Old Rum, Angostura 1919 and Angostura 1824.

The product was launched earlier this month at Copenhagen's Ruby bar.

Earlier this year, the company announced new packaging for its rum range. Executive manager for international sales & marketing Genevieve Jodhan said the new bottles were "modern and sophisticated", while capturing the "heritage and history" of the brand.

House of Angostura is majority-owned by CL Financial and Rumpro.
