Holyrood Distillery has launched a new gin.
Height of Arrows is available now from UK-based online retailer Hard To Find Whiskey. According to the company, the iteration is “stripped back” containing juniper as its lone botanical.
The expression, which takes its name from the Gaelic name for ‘Arthur’s Seat’ – a hill in Edinburgh close to Holyrood’s distillery – is also flavoured with beeswax and salt.
“In Height of Arrows, we have made a gin that is distilled from our DNA as whisky makers. In whisky making, we work with simplicity. Barley, water and yeast,” said Holyrood Distillery’s director, Nick Ravenhall. “We’ve taken this same mindset to Height of Arrows and created a complex gin born from juniper alone taking centre stage.”
Last month, London gin producer Portobello Gin changed its company name to Portobello Road Distillery and entered the vodka category, due to supply shortages brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
