Cognac maker Hine has added a 2008 expression to its Bonneuil collection. Domaines Hine Bonneuil 2008 is the third expression in a collection of single grand crus, single harvest Cognacs from Hine's own estate. Only 7,200 bottles will be available. The grapes for the liquid are from the Grande Champagne village of Bonneuil.

The other vintages in the Bonneuil collection are from 2005 and 2006. The company skipped the 2007 vintage because, according to Hine, it was "insufficiently expressive".

Privately-owned Hine has 70 hectares of Grande Champagne vineyards, which accounts for around 30% of its output.

Cognac sales have rebounded in China in the past two years after a slump caused by anti-extravagance measures. Earlier in November, Remy Cointreau posted strong Cognac sales growth driven by East Asia.
