Hemisphere Brands has lined up the first television advert for the Magnum Scotch whisky cream liqueur brand in its home market.

The spot, entitled 'Where Two Forces Meet', features a voiceover from former Scottish rugby international, Gavin Hastings. Running on STV in Scotland from today, the activation targets the run-up to this year's Christmas party season.

Edinburgh-based Hemisphere will back the ad with online activity for Magnum through both Facebook and Instagram.

Financial details were not disclosed.

"We're really excited to have teamed up with Gavin as part of our UK-wide Christmas campaign," said brand director Lee Schofield. "Gavin's personality and sporting status resonates across each of Magnum's major markets, including the UK, South Africa and Canada."

Magnum was recently launched in Ontario and British Columbia, according to BenRiach.

The cream liqueur, which is produced by Brown-Forman's BenRiach Distillery Co, is packaged in a stainless steel flask that has been designed to be reused and recycled.
