The Netherlands-based international brewing group, Heineken, has announced that it is to withdraw from the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and the Euronext exchange in Brussels.

The brewer said it had decided to delist its shares from the exchanges because of the limited trading in the stock, a level which did not justify continuing.

The company will continue to trade the shares on the Euronext Amsterdam market. The Luxembourg delisting is effective immediately while the company will withdraw the shares from Euronext Brussels at the end of September 2003.
