Heineken intends to propose to its Annual General Meeting that Annemiek Fentener van Vlissingen be appointed to its supervisory board.

The Dutch brewing company said it had recommended the appointment on the basis of van Vlissingen's broad strategic and financial expertise across several industries. The company's AGM is to be held on 20 April 2006.

Annemiek Fentener van Vlissingen studied business administration at the University of Groningen and currently chairs the supervisory board of SHV Holdings NV, while also sitting on the supervisory boards of Draka Holding NV and Flint Holding NV.

Heineken's supervisory board currently comprises Cees van Lede (chairman), Jan Maarten de Jong (vice-chairman), Maarten Das (delegated member), Michel de Carvalho, Ton Risseeuw and Jan Michiel Hessels.
