Heineken has changed its distributor in Finland as it looks to take its hallmark brand nationwide in the Scandinavian country.

The Dutch brewing giant has signed a deal with Finnish brewer and soft drinks producer Olvi Group after ending an agreement with local importer Servaali.

A spokesman for Heineken in Amsterdam told just-drinks today (1 June) that the brewer wanted to expand its flagship brand's presence in Finland. "Servaali was mainly concentrated on Helsinki, while Olvi is national-oriented brewer. Heineken fits very well in their portfolio," the spokesman added.

Olvi officials failed to return requests for comment.

Sectors: Beer & cider, Soft drinks
