Heineken has launched a new global marketing campaign for its flagship lager brand, including limited-edition bottle designs.

The initiative, entitled 'Cities of the World', also features a two-minute TV ad and online activity, the Dutch brewer said today (12 May). The ad, which is the seventh in Heineken's 'The Legend' series, centres on a young man having random adventures across a city.

The limited-edition bottles, which will be available globally, have one of six cities on their labels: New York, Shanghai, Berlin, Amsterdam, London or Rio de Janeiro.

Heineken said the campaign will also feature local activity in more than 100 countries, starting with the US.

The brewer last month reported a rise in first-quarter sales, but net profits slid.
