Heineken UK has unveiled a programme of exclusive listings at major public events this summer.

The brand will be served at UEFA Champions League Final in the Stade de France in Paris tomorrow (17 May), and on Saturday at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for rugby's Heineken Cup Final.

Following on from the success of last year's taste tour on the Heineken bus, Heineken will then be pouring at events around the UK throughout the summer months.

Heineken will be featuring at summer music events such as the Ealing Jazz Festival in July, the Cartmel Music Festival in the Lake District in August and the End of the Road Festival near Stonehenge in September. Other events on the programme include the Portishead Carnival near Bristol in June and the Northampton Balloon Fiesta in August.

Heineken was also served at the Boat Race in London in April, where the special Heineken bar sold 8,000 cans in 90 minutes.

Chris Duffy, customer marketing controller at Heineken UK, said the company was looking to build on the success of the taste tour last year. "We estimate that we'll be serving over a million pints of Heineken at the events we have chosen for 2006, events which build on our existing sporting and music platforms."
