Haymans announced this year it will build a new distillery in London

Hayman's announced this year it will build a new distillery in London

The privately-owned family company, which was formed in 1863, said earlier this week that the move forms part of a "new phase" for Hayman's, following on from the decision in May to build a new distillery in London. The new facility is located close to the firm's original distillery in south London.

UK distributor Love Drinks has handled sales for Hayman's for nine years.

"The opening of our new distillery marks a new phase for Hayman's, with the home market taking on a new significance as we return to our London roots," said company director James Hayman. "We will be investing increasing amounts in marketing the brand within the UK and, at this juncture, it also makes sense for us to establish a dedicated sales team."

Love Drinks will continue to handle Hayman's during the first half of next year "to ensure a smooth transition".
