Australian wine producer Hardys Wines is to launch two new wines under the Oomoo brand in the US. The two new additions to the range are a 2003 McLaren Vale Shiraz and a 2005 McLaren Vale Unwooded Chardonnay.

The company revived this brand to mark its 150th anniversary in 2003.  "Oomoo" is an Aboriginal word meaning "good," or "pleasant to the eye", which captured the imagination of the company's founder, Thomas Hardy, who gave the name to some of his first wines. Oomoo was a prominent label in the Hardys range from the early 1860s until the 1930s.

Oomoo, like all Hardys wines, are imported into the US by Pacific Wine Partners, part of Constellation Wines.

Sectors: Wine
