Australia's Hardy's Wines - part of US Constellation Brands - has appointed a fulltime ranger ecologist, Renee Webster, to oversee wetlands management and landscape recovery at its Banrock Station estate along the banks of the River Murray in South Australia.

It is believed to be the industry's first such appointment and reflects Hardy's concern with successful brand's green image.
