Harboes Bryggeri has posted a fall in first quarter net profit. The Danish brewery and soft drinks producer said yesterday (23 August) that net income for the three months of its 2005/2006 fiscal year to 30 April, 2006 dipped to DKK26.4m (US$4.3m) from DKK28.5m in the corresponding period a year earlier.

Net turnover in the three months to 31 July also fell away slightly, to DKK395.1m from DKK397.9m in the first quarter of fiscal 2004/2005.

Harboes reiterated its whole-year forecast for 2005/2006, however, of pre-tax profit in the range of DKK125m and DKK140m. In its fiscal year 2004/2005, pre-tax profit for the company reached DKK130.6m.
