The company said earlier today that the larger packs will cover the brand's original expression as well as the Rhubarb & Ginger, Raspberry and Blood Orange flavour variants. The format carries an SRP of GBP59.99 (US$72).

"The summer trading period is an important time for many alcohol brands, with lots of noise to cut through in the retail environment," said Halewood's white spirits director, Leanne Ware. "By creating an increased bottle size, Whitley Neill has … differentiated itself and enhanced shelf standout, just in time for every summer occasion."

The brand will retain the regular-sized 70cl bottles across its the rest of its variants.

Citing recent Nielsen figures for the UK off-premise, Halewood claimed that Whitley Neill is the country's biggest selling premium gin brand in the channel.

Last month, Quintessential Brands launched a marketing activation for its Greenall's gin, highlighting the amount of sugar in some of the brand's competitors in the UK.
