Campari Group has launched a new Red Diaries film for its namesake spirits brand, as it enters the second year of activation for the campaign that replaced the long-standing Campari calendar.

The 15-minute movie, starring Guardians of the Galaxy actor Zoe Saldana, went online today and will be the subject of a red carpet premiere in Milan, Campari said. The short, called The Legend of the Red Hand, centres around the story of a photographer trying to take a picture of a mysterious cocktail maker.

"We hope that this story we will inspire people around the world to go on their own personal quests in the hunt for cocktail perfection to find their own Red Hand," said Campari CEO Bob Kunze-Concewitz.

The company launched Red Diaries in late-2016, after it retired its calendar marketing activity for brand Campari. The inaugural Red Diaries film starred British actor Clive Owen.

This year's film also stars Italian actor Adriano Giannini and is directed by Italian director Stefano Sollima.
