Camparis Glen Grant 18-year-old won a recent Scotch whisky award

Campari's Glen Grant 18-year-old won a recent Scotch whisky award

Gruppo Campari is launching its Glen Grant portfolio in Canada for the first time, the company has said.

Glen Grant expressions including the 12-year-old and 18-year-old will go on sale in Ontario, British Colombia, Alberta and Manitoba. "In launching Glen Grant, we hope to appeal to the tastes and demands of consumers for premium spirits with this flavourful single malt whisky," Campari Canada's premium spirits brand manager, Alyssa De Bartolo, said.

The launch comes weeks after Glen Grant 18-year-old took best Scotch whisky in the 2018 Jim Murray Whiskey Bible awards. However, a spokesperson for Campari Canada told just-drinks that the Canadian roll-out had been planned long before the awards were announced.

Last month, Campari unveiled new packaging for its Forty Creek Canadian whisky that increases the brand's regional cues. The overhaul was the brand's first since its launch in 1992.
