Danone's Evian Spirits

The UK division of Groupe Danone has launched limited-edition packaging for its Evian bottled water in the UK that targets consumers who are abstaining from alcohol for January. 

The range, which includes Evian-jito (mojito), Evian-colada (pinacolada) and Evian-politan (cosmopolitan), is Evian's regular non-flavoured mineral water but packaged to resemble popular cocktails. The range will only be available in the UK until mid-February.

Many people in the UK take part in Dry January, a charity-backed initiative that urges adults to stop drinking alcohol for the first month of the year.

Danone has recently upped the focus on its UK bottled water brands. This year, it will launch a GBP2m (US$3m) marketing campaign in the country to support its Volvic Touch of Fruit Sparkling range.
