The Netherlands' second-biggest brewer Grolsch NV has reported a 5.7% rise in first-half net profit and said it expected full-year growth to be similar.

Grolsch said net profit was €11.9m on sales of €138.4m versus €129.8m a year ago. Operating profit rose 12.9 percent to €16.3m.

Sales in the Netherlands were largely flat this year, however the company said it was experiencing growth in the UK, US and Canada.
