Algeria is looking to privatise four of its breweries and four of its mineral water plants in an effort to liberalise the state-run economy. Government officials said an international tender had been issued for the businesses and also includes two beverage plants, all of them owned by the state-run firm Groupe Industriel des Boissons d'Algirie. The closing date was set for May 29.
