According to reports in the Polish press, Poland's treasury department has invited bids for a stake of at least 51% in the spirits company, Polmos Wroclaw.

The Treasury is offering on the open market at least 3.87m shares in Kompania Spirytusowa "Wratislavia" Polmos Wroclaw, representing 51% of the capital. Wroclaw employees will be allowed to buy 15% of shares while the government will retain a 5% interest.

The treasury ministry said it would be selling the shares at a nominal price of PLZ10 ($2.51). An initial deadline of June 3 has been set for preliminary bids.
