GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has launched an advertising campaign for its Lucozade brand in the UK.

The GBP15m (US$23.2m) campaign is GSK's largest investment in the brand to date, the soft drinks firm said last week. It features three athletes competing in the London 2012 Olympic Games: track and field athlete Mo Farrah, triple jumper Phillips Idowu and gymnast Louis Smith.

Manchester United footballer Ashley Young will also feature in the campaign, which will run across television, outdoor, press and radio.

GSK said it will also add a new claim to its Lucozade packaging range - 'Faster. Stronger. For Longer' - which will appear across all marketing for the brand this year.

New product launches are also planned for this year, including a new bottle design. Details will be announced in the coming months.
