Gatorade has renewed its sponsorship deal with the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. The four-year renewal makes the PepsiCo brand the official Sports Drink of the AVP Nissan Series through to the 2009 season.

Gatorade has been an AVP sponsor since 2002.

The AVP Nissan Series is AVP's national touring series that features more than 150 of the nation's top male and female professional beach volleyball players.

As part of the contract, Gatorade will be on the sidelines at all events throughout the 2005-2009 seasons domestically, as well as have a presence in AVP's international broadcasts through a limited number of commercial units and sideline presence.

In the US, Gatorade receives rotational and player box signage along with centre court banners and net tapes. Gatorade will also receive commercial units during AVP broadcasts on NBC and FOX Sports Net.

"Sponsoring the AVP Nissan Series was a natural fit for Gatorade, as both of our brands capture the excitement of true competition," said Jeff Urban, director of sports & event marketing. "We are excited to work with the AVP and the players to make sure they can compete, non-stop, each weekend the Tour competes."
