The US Federal Trade Commission has given the green light for the merger of the two North American brewers Molson and Adolph Coors, after no antitrust problems were found with the deal.

Yesterday The FTC said its regulators suspended the 30-day waiting period for antitrust investigations and which will allow the transaction to move ahead.

The deal now awaits shareholder approval before it can go ahead.
