Fritz-Kulturguter's range of Fritz-Kola includes Classic Kola

German cola maker Fritz-Kulturguter is to expand the footprint of its Fritz-Kola brand in the UK after signing a new distribution deal.

The brand's full portfolio will be available at a range of UK festivals through James Clay, the distributor said today. Fritz-Kola was first launched in the UK a year ago through a limited run with Thirst Distribution.

"We're thrilled to be bringing another iconic German drink to the UK," said Matthew Eyre, head of sales at James Clay. "With the summer now here, we're positive that Fritz-Kola's range will be a huge hit, whether used as a soft drink or as a mixer for spirits. Frtiz Kola is a family-owned, independent company, that always puts quality first, sharing a lot of the same values of us here at James Clay so working with them is a perfect fit."

Fritz-Kola was launched in Hamburg in 2002 and the on-premise-focussed range now includes flavours such as Classic Kola, Melon, Apple, Cherry and Mischmasch - a cola, orange and lemonade blend. The brand's tagline is Vielviel Koffein - lots and lots of caffeine - and most of the range contains 25mg of caffeine in every 100ml.

This month, UK firm Fever-Tree added a Madagascan Cola to its line-up of mixers. The product joins Ginger Beer and Ginger Ale in the company's portfolio of products to be paired with dark spirits.
