US distribution firm the Republic National Distributing Co (RNDC) will handle Freixenet's wine portfolio in two additional states.
The RNDC said last week that it will now distribute the Spanish wine firm's US subsidiary portfolio in Indiana and Kentucky. The agreement started this month.
The move sees RNDC distribute Freixenet's brands in five states, including Colorado, Georgia and Virginia. It was not immediately clear which company previously handled the brands in Indiana and Kentucky.
"We are excited by the opportunity to distribute Freixenet USA's portfolio to two of our high-performing markets - Indiana and Kentucky," said Ken Rosenberg, RNDC VP of Wine. "Building upon an already strong relationship, this agreement further aligns our priorities and commitment to bringing these dynamic brands to market. We look forward to the mutual success of our two companies."
Freixenet USA is based in Sonoma, California. It is a subsidiary of Spain's Freixenet Group. The US portfolio includes the company's namesake Cava as well as wines from California, Australia and Italy.
