Foster's Group is to delist its shares from the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The Australian drinks company made the announcement today (5 January) citing the shares' low trading volume.

In a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange, Foster's said that the listing had become "commercially unviable" due to the low trading volume and the small number of shareholders there. The company has written to the UK authorities and the LSE advising that the listing cancellation will become effective on 31 March.

Foster's shareholders in London will be able to sell their shares back to the company or exchange them for shares in the company that trade on the Australian Stock Exchange.
