Foster's Group has put two US wine businesses on the block as it looks to offload its wine clubs and services operations.

The Australian drinks giant is understood to be looking for buyers for its California-based Windsor Vineyards direct mail operations and International Wine Accessories, a business based in Texas.

Foster's CEO Trevor O'Hoy said in August that the company was looking to sell its wine clubs and services division. The business generated A$39.1m (US$29.5m) of profits last year, compared to group earnings of A$1.1bn and Foster's want to focus more on its branded wine offerings.

A Foster's spokesman declined to comment on whether the two US businesses had been formally put on the block but said the whole division would be put up for sale in the coming months.

"It's all part of our focus on what we do best - which is making and selling great drinks," he told just-drinks today (16 October). "The wine clubs are not completely out of our space but they're not a good fit with where our business is today."
